Privacy Policy

1. About Dawaya

Dawaya (the “App”) helps users organise medication schedules, receive dose reminders, track medication inventory, maintain dose history, and manage profiles for themselves or people in their care.

This policy applies to the native Android release 1.1.2 (version code 8), distributed through Google Play. This release does not use Expo or Expo Updates.

Dawaya is not a medical provider and does not diagnose conditions, recommend treatment, or replace professional medical advice. Dawaya does not require an account and does not operate a server that stores your medication or dose records.

2. Information stored on your device

Information you enter into Dawaya is stored locally on your device using the App's local database and preferences storage. This may include:

• Profile names and optional profile colours.
• Medication names, notes, type, dosage, unit, schedules, and reminder times.
• Medication inventory totals, remaining quantities, and low-stock thresholds.
• Dose status and history, including the scheduled date and time and when a dose was marked as given.
• Language, appearance, notification, reminder, inventory-alert, and daily-report preferences.
• A locally cached Dawaya Plus entitlement status.

We do not receive or have access to this locally stored medication, profile, inventory, or dose-history information.

3. Notifications and device permissions

Dawaya can request notification permission and, on supported Android versions, access to exact-alarm settings so reminders can appear at the times you choose. Medication and profile names may appear in notifications on your lock screen or notification centre, depending on your device settings.

Reminders are scheduled and managed locally by your device. You can disable notifications in Dawaya or in your device settings.

4. PDF reports and sharing

Dawaya can create a medication or adherence-history PDF on your device. The file is shared only when you choose a destination through your device's share sheet. Files you save or send are then handled by the destination app or service you select and are subject to that provider's privacy practices.

5. Third-party services

App installation and updates are delivered through Google Play. The native Android release does not use Expo services, advertising SDKs, or analytics SDKs. We do not sell personal or health information.

6. Data retention and deletion

Local App data remains on your device until you delete records using available App controls, clear the App's storage, or uninstall the App. Uninstalling normally removes Dawaya's local database and preferences. PDF files already saved or shared outside the App must be deleted from their destination separately.

Purchase records may be retained by Google according to Google's legal and billing requirements.

7. Security

Locally stored data is protected by your device's operating-system and access controls. You are responsible for securing your device and choosing whether sensitive medication information is visible in notifications or shared reports. No storage method can guarantee absolute security.

8. Children's privacy

Dawaya is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. A parent or guardian should supervise use by a child or use of a profile created for a child.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when Dawaya's features or data practices change. The date at the top of this page identifies the latest version.
